Hi!  

I've been absent from Deviantart quite a bit.  I had a very busy summer, and made two wedding dress commissions!  Both were quite unique.  One had a beautiful mesh top and blue organza and satin for the skirt.  The other was for a pirate themed wedding and consisted of a blouse, corseted vest, and linen skirt.  Soo much work, but soo worth it!  I also had a few side projects.  I made a last minute She Ra cosplay for myself, and a Bendy and the Ink Machine inspired dress.  

I'm actually working on another Bendy and the Ink Machine costume now that will be worn by my husband!  He's 6'3'', so i think he'll make quite an impression when it's all done   

Anyways, life continues to be busy.  As always, the struggle is to stay balanced.  Thankfully, I'm in a lower stress work environment. That helps a ton!  Also working full time night shift has it's perks now and then, and I get a ton of cosplay work done.

Hello Geso!

So, it happened.  I discovered the anime Squid Girl.... and I'm in LOVE!  I knew immediately that I had to cosplay her!  I just finished, and i looove it.  I'm still playing with the wig a bit (Foam is tricky), but she's such a fun character to be!  I just did a photo shoot last night   Check out the pics!

I got the Ghibli bug again, and decided to do Granmamare from Ponyo, aka Ponyo's mom!  I was watching the movie again, and this time it just hit me deeper than before.  The colors, the story, the characters...  The time is perfect to make a cosplay of her   It would also be a nice hallway cosplay.  Nice and flowy, not huge and heavy.  I am doing it as a two day project to challenge myself.  Should have pics soon!

It's summer!!  and that means.... IT'S ALMOST CON!!

Hawk Momma is almost done, finishing up the tavern that she carries on her back. I'm planning on walking it around Convergence here in Minneapolis in July.  I also had a ton of fun at the Costume Con 36 in San Diego this year!!  My hubby and I won an award for our Squid and Nautilus cosplay!!  Will post a pic.  We got "Best Original Design," which I am super happy with since costume con is soo competitive for Master level costumers! 

Doing some other fun craft things... Made some more ducks XD  I'm going to be submitting them for auction at CONvergence this year!  Hopefully they'll find some nice loving homes

Hello! 

I got talked into watching the anime Seven Deadly Sins, and immediately was inspired by Hawk's Mom in the show!  I really loved making a big structure when I made Howl's Moving Castle, and this seemed like a great opportunity to do something similar!  The pig momma part is done   Now I'm working on the tavern she carries on her back.  I think when it's all done, she's going to look a little chibi X)  Her face is already a little fuller with a shorter snout, and the tavern has to be big enough to cover my upper body... So I think it'll look like a young Hawk Momma....maybe how she looked when she first started hanging out with the Seven Deadly Sins?  However it works out... it's going to be adorable.  I'm soo excited!  Will post progress pics!
